PNN – On Wednesday, the Yemeni Ansarullah movement, recalling its previous successful attack on the British oil tanker “Marlin Luanda” in the Gulf of Aden following the violation of the Israeli naval blockade, warned Washington and its allies about Sanaa’s full readiness and advanced naval capabilities to confront the American aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln” in the waters of the region.
A military source in Sanaa announced: The Yemeni Ansarullah Movement will not allow any of the American ships and aircraft carriers to approach the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, and considers these devices a threat to Yemen.
This position was announced at the same time as regional tensions increased and the arrival of the aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln” in the region.
According to Al-Akhbar, the military official emphasized that “the Yemeni armed forces have increased their level of combat readiness and readiness to the highest level following recent US moves, especially the announcement of the deployment of a “strike group” commanded by the USS Abraham Lincoln, which had previously been the target of Yemeni attacks.”
In this regard, Brigadier General Aziz Rashid, a military expert close to the Ansarullah movement, said: Yemeni naval forces are closely monitoring enemy movements in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea and will take action to thwart any attempt to deploy the Abraham Lincoln-led task force.
He recalled that this aircraft carrier had been targeted during previous periods of its presence in the region, as part of the US operation against Sanaa and in response to Yemen’s support for Palestine.
According to this military expert, Yemen’s current preparedness is more extensive than in previous periods, and if the crisis is escalated by the United States and the Zionist regime, many “military surprises” will await them.
He also warned that any possible confrontation between Iran, the United States, and the Zionist regime could lead to the entire region being inflamed.
According to this report, the aforementioned video was released to coincide with the second anniversary of the operation against the oil tanker “Marlin Luanda” (January 26, 2024) and the announcement of the arrival of the “Abraham Lincoln” in the western Indian Ocean.
