PNN – Referring to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza and the hunger of the residents of the region, the American senator stated that American taxpayer money should not be spent on Netanyahu’s war machine.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Quds Al-Akhbariya, while most members of the US Congress have remained silent on the UN report on the famine in the Gaza Strip, Senator Bernie Sanders announced: Donald Trump has the power to end the hunger of the Palestinian people, but he does nothing and watches the severe hunger in Gaza.

Referring to the comprehensive US aid to the Zionist regime from the pockets of American taxpayers, he added: American taxpayers’ money should not be spent on Netanyahu’s war machine.

Sanders, who have previously presented plans to stop arms sales to the Israeli regime, have repeatedly warned about the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican representative from Georgia in the US Congress, also spoke in a separate message on social media on Saturday about the need to express sympathy for Palestinian civilians.

The Republican representative considered American financial and military aid to Israel directly linked to this crisis, saying: This aid means that every American taxpayer is a partner in Israel’s military actions. I do not want to pay the price for genocide in a foreign country. And I will not remain silent about it.

It is worth noting that the United Nations has finally officially declared a famine in Gaza for the first time. According to the International Food Security Organization (IPC), a famine has been officially declared in Gaza province and is expected to spread to the Deir al-Balah and Khan Yunis governorates in the Gaza Strip by the end of September.
