PNN – Hill’s website wrote: US Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont and 11 other Democrats asked the Ministry of Justice to investigate the Israeli air attack on journalists.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this American media added: Sanders and other Democrats asked US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US Attorney General Marik Garland to open an official investigation into the Israeli airstrike (regime) that has injured American journalists over the past year.
Reuters had previously announced that the journalist of this news agency was killed in clashes in Lebanon. Essam Abdallah was part of the Reuters news agency mission team that provided live reports and images of the war.
Hill added: Dylan Collins, an American citizen and AFP journalist, while wearing a reporter’s vest and reporting near the line between Lebanon and Israel, was seriously injured by an Israeli tank fire.
Al Jazeera news channel also reported that some journalists of this media were also part of the group of journalists who were hit by what was described as “shelling attack by Israeli forces”.

The group of US lawmakers wrote in a letter on Tuesday: The evidence clearly shows that these attacks were direct and illegal. An American civilian was injured in the Israeli attack and managed to survive. Some other journalists were also seriously injured and one of them was killed.
The letter refers to reports from the Committee to Protect Journalists and the United Nations and states that “unfortunately, this incident is part of a wider pattern of Israeli army (regime) disregard for the safety of civilian lives.”
Earlier this year, Sanders also wrote a letter to the US State Department. In response, American officials claimed that Israel would investigate the incident.
Research by Reuters shows that these weapons did not include weapons of American origin and were probably caused by “Israeli regime M339 or M329 tank bullets fired by the Merkava tank.”
