PNN – The American Democratic senator sharply criticized the influential lobbying group AIPAC support for the US President and the Israeli Prime Minister, calling for Democratic Party representatives to stop cooperating with the group.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Jerusalem Post, US Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders sharply criticized the influential lobbying group AIPAC’s support for the US President and the Israeli Prime Minister, calling for Democratic Party representatives to stop cooperating with the group and not accept its political donations.
Sanders wrote in a message on the social network “X” that AIPAC had helped Benjamin Netanyahu wage “an illegal and immoral war against the Palestinian people.”

He pointed out that AIPAC played a role in bringing Donald Trump to the presidency, adding that no Democrat should accept money from AIPAC.
Sanders’ message came in response to comments by Ben Rhodes, a foreign policy adviser to former US President Barack Obama, who called on Democrats to reject all future funding from AIPAC, saying the organization had influenced Democrats to take unethical positions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In part of the video, Rhodes says that AIPAC is part of the set of forces that handed this country over to Donald Trump, and, referring to AIPAC’s unwavering support for Netanyahu, he emphasized that the Democratic Party should not have close political ties with “such groups.”
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, known as AIPAC, is the most prominent lobbying organization for Israel in the United States and has historically supported pro-Israel candidates, regardless of the party that comes to power.
Sanders is one of the few Democratic politicians who has openly criticized Netanyahu since the start of the Gaza war and called on Washington to adopt a tougher policy towards him and his cabinet.
