Sanders to the students protesting the war in Gaza: You are standing on the right side of history

PNN – Independent American Senator Bernie Sanders praised the students opposing the war in the Gaza Strip and emphasized that they are standing on the right side of history.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Sanders wrote on X social network on Saturday: We staged a sit-in at the University of Chicago in 1962 to end racist policies. I was arrested in 1963 for protesting [racially] segregated schools. But we were right.

“I’m proud to see students protesting the war in Gaza,” the Vermont senator said, urging them to stay focused and peaceful. You are on the right side of history.

Zionist media: America has pressured Israel to negotiate

Support for the people of Gaza and protests against the policies of the US President Joe Biden’s government in all-out support for the Israeli regime, this time, have been started by different groups of students in American universities. More than 2,000 people have been arrested since the beginning of protests against Israel’s war in Gaza under the title of “Gaza Solidarity Movement” from Columbia University in New York and its spread to other American universities.

These protests follow the Biden government’s comprehensive support for Israel and the continuous killing of the people of Gaza in retaliation for the defeat of this regime in the Al-Aqsa storm operation on October 7, 2023, as well as the failure to implement any immediate ceasefire and in order to end Washington’s military and security assistance to Tel Aviv has taken place.

US President Joe Biden signed the $95 billion aid law to Ukraine, (regime) Israel and Taiwan and sending weapons and military equipment to Tel Aviv and Kiev.

The use of violence and police tools to confront and suppress peaceful and increasingly peaceful gatherings and protests of American students and youth and the entry of the police into the university environment is against the claims of that country about the principle of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly and makes the environment and scientific centers more secure.
