Sara Netanyahu’s role in the dismissal of the Israeli Security Council head.
The Israeli TV channel 13 today (Wednesday) conducted an exclusive report on the dismissal of Sakhi Hanegbi, the head of the regime’s Security Council, and revealed that Sara Netanyahu, the prime minister’s wife, was the main factor in his dismissal.
The Israeli media outlet reported, citing some informed sources, that Sara Netanyahu criticized Hanegbi, saying that she was not sufficiently subordinate to the prime minister and had a critical approach.
According to these sources, in recent months, there have been reports that Sara has asked the prime minister’s office to stop Hanegbi’s interviews. According to Sara Netanyahu, Hanegbi is weak and does not support Netanyahu.
Earlier, Netanyahu had said in an interview with reporters that his wife intervenes in most of the Israeli regime’s domestic policies and influences decision-making.
The head of the Israeli Security Council announced his resignation yesterday evening (Tuesday) after learning that Netanyahu had replaced him with another person.
Hanebi has repeatedly called for the establishment of a committee of inquiry to investigate the causes of the Israeli security failure in Operation Storm of Al-Aqsa on October 7.
He also opposed Netanyahu’s decision to expand military attacks and occupy Gaza City under Operation “Gideon’s Chariots 2”.
Netanyahu also removed Hanebi from security decision-making meetings after Hanebi opposed the occupation of Gaza City.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Office also announced that Netanyahu intends to appoint “Gil Reich”, Hanebi’s deputy, as the interim head of the regime’s Security Council.
