PNN – A Saudi analyst close to the kingdom’s court announced that following the signing of a defense agreement between the two countries, Pakistan’s nuclear support umbrella will also include Riyadh.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Russia Al-Youm, Ali Al-Shihabi, a Saudi analyst close to the royal court, announced on Sunday that following the signing of a defense agreement between the two countries, Pakistan’s nuclear support umbrella will also include Riyadh.
He added that the defense agreement had been in the works for years and that India, Pakistan’s rival, should be aware of Saudi Arabia’s security needs.

Ali Al-Shehabi also said that the defense agreement signed with Pakistan means that Riyadh can use the country’s nuclear weapons.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan recently emphasized that the defense agreement signed between the country and Saudi Arabia will not be used against any other country.
He added: This agreement was signed in order to strengthen peace and security in the region and the world. Defense cooperation between the two countries has been ongoing since the 1960s, and this agreement was signed in line with this cooperation.
Recently, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif announced that, based on the defense agreement signed with Riyadh, Pakistan’s nuclear program will be made available to Saudi Arabia if necessary.
