PNN – Two American officials and two other informed sources told the Axios website that the Trump administration is hosting senior military and intelligence officials from Israel and Saudi Arabia to discuss Iran.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, amid US President Donald Trump’s regional tensions and the deployment of equipment and aircraft carriers to West Asia, the Saudis are deeply concerned about a potential regional war and are trying to help find a diplomatic solution.

Two American officials said that General Shlomi Binder, the head of Israeli military intelligence, held meetings with senior officials from the Pentagon, the CIA, and the White House on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A source familiar with the matter said Binder came to Washington to brief the Trump administration on “specific information it had requested about Iran.”

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman is expected to hold Iran-focused meetings at the Pentagon, State Department and White House, including with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump’s special envoy Steve Whittaker, Axios reported.

Prince Khalid bin Salman, the younger brother of the Saudi crown prince, will be in Washington on Thursday and Friday. The Axios website also claimed: The Saudis have exchanged messages between the United States and Iran in recent days to de-escalate the situation.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told Iranian President Masoud Pezishkiyan on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia would not allow the United States to use its airspace for an aggressive attack.

Currently, there are no serious negotiations between the United States and Iran, and Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that there will be powerful retaliatory strikes if the United States attacks.
