PNN – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, who traveled to Brussels to participate in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union, said about the sharp reaction of the Zionist regime to the recognition of the independent state of Palestine by 3 European countries: Israel cannot decide on the Palestinians’ right to self-determination.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, in an interview with reporters, Faisal bin Farhan called the positions of the leaders of the Zionist regime concerning the recognition of the independent state of Palestine a cause for concern and claimed: I believe that the realization of the two-state solution, based on which the independent state of Palestine will be formed, is not only in the interest of the Palestinian people and respects their right to self-determination, but also in the interest of the Israeli regime.
He continued: The fact that the current government (regime) of Israel does not understand this issue is a matter of serious concern. Regardless of Israel’s position, we must give new life to the two-state solution. Israel cannot decide whether Palestinians have the right to self-determination. This issue is emphasized in the United Nations Charter and international laws.
The Saudi Foreign Minister claimed: It is absolutely necessary for Israel to accept that it cannot exist without the existence of the Palestinian state. I hope the Israeli authorities understand that cooperation with the international community in order to form an independent Palestinian state within the framework of the 1967 borders is the best option.
The meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union, which is held monthly, will start in Brussels in a few hours. In this meeting, in addition to the senior diplomats of 27 European countries, the foreign ministers of five Arab countries are also present to review the latest situation of the war in Gaza.

Last week, two European Union member states, along with Norway, recognized the independent state of Palestine. The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court also requested that an arrest warrant be issued for the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime and the Minister of War of this regime. Also, the International Court of Justice has issued a ruling demanding an immediate stop to the military operations of the Zionist regime in the Gaza war.
These are important decisions that, according to the European Union’s foreign policy official, will be discussed at today’s council meeting.
During the past seven months, the Zionist regime has launched a massive massacre in Gaza and, while closing all the crossings and preventing the arrival of relief aid, has turned this area into a ruin.
This regime also plans to attack the border city of Rafah, where more than one million Palestinians have taken refuge, under the pretext of destroying Hamas. This issue has aroused international concern and they have warned the Zionist regime that such an action will worsen the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
Last month, the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution in support of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the immediate transfer of humanitarian aid; But the Zionist regime, with the full support of Washington, has ignored this resolution and continues to kill the Palestinian people.
According to reports, more than 35,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 79,000 others have been injured.
