Saudi Arabia offers Iran to expand economic cooperation.

The American Bloomberg website reported on Riyadh’s interest in expanding economic cooperation with Tehran.

Accordingly, the report states: Informed sources who did not want to be named said that Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, who is in charge of running the country, has proposed expanding economic and trade relations with the Iranian side in recent weeks.

These sources added: By making this proposal, bin Salman is seeking to reduce the level of tensions between Iran and the West and reduce support for its proxy forces.

Riyadh is now seeking to create a balance in its foreign relations between Iran and the United States, and on the eve of Donald Trump’s entry into the White House on January 20, it is trying to get closer to Tehran and Washington simultaneously.

According to the theory of economic dependence that liberals in international relations believe in, expanding trade relations and economic dependence between the two countries can reduce the level of tensions and conflicts because no country wants to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Based on this thinking, win-win relationships resulting from two countries benefiting from economic relations lead to interdependence and a reduction in tensions.
