Saudi Arabia: Our agreement with Europe should lead to pressure on Israel to stop the conflict in Gaza

PNN – “Faisal Bin Farhan”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, said after the meeting with Chosep Burrell, the head of foreign policy of the European Union: We want the agreement between the Gulf countries and Europe in some cases to lead to more pressure [on Israel] to stop the conflict in Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing “Al-Khalij Online” news site, Bin Farhan said these words after the meeting with “Joseph Burrell” in charge of foreign policy of the European Union in Luxembourg.

He added: We are still optimistic about the stability and security of the countries in the region.

Farhan added: The vision of the region is to move towards development, population and stability of the region.

Bin Farhan’s words were expressed an hour after Burrell emphasized the need to prevent the escalation of tensions and added: In times of unrest and heightened tensions, peace and multilateralism will be challenged in both the Middle East and Europe, and we need more than ever to work together to resolve crises, prevent escalation, and support a safer and more stable international environment.

This meeting was held hours after the monthly meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union in Luxembourg, during which the latest international developments were discussed. Iran’s punitive response to the aggressive action of the Zionist regime, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the war in Ukraine are among the most important topics of this meeting.

Burrell said in a meeting with reporters that there is no prospect of a ceasefire in Gaza and the humanitarian disaster in this area continues. He warned the Zionist regime: “As long as the war in Gaza continues, peace will not be established in the Middle East.”

Over the past 6 months, the Zionist regime has launched a massive massacre in Gaza and, while closing all the crossings, has turned this area into a ruin.

The United Nations Security Council earlier passed a resolution in support of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. In this resolution, all parties are asked to respect the immediate cessation of hostilities during the holy month of Ramadan, but the occupation regime’s crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people continue despite the approval of this resolution.

According to reports, more than 34,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 76,000 others have been injured.
