Saudi Arabia: Our support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is unwavering.
According to Russia Today, after US President Donald Trump’s controversial statements on the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza and the normalization of relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv, which pointed to Saudi Arabia’s lack of commitment to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, Saudi officials reacted to this issue.
Accordingly, the Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a statement emphasizing Riyadh’s commitment to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The statement states: that Riyadh has repeatedly emphasized that its position on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is strong, firm, and unwavering.
In this regard, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has clearly explained the kingdom’s position in a way that does not allow for other interpretations under any circumstances.
The statement emphasizes: We insist on rejecting any plan that displaces Palestinians from their homes.
Riyadh also rejects any action that violates the rights of the Palestinian people, whether through settlement construction, land annexation, or displacement.
The statement concludes: Riyadh confirms that its firm position is non-negotiable and that peace will not be achieved without the realization of Palestinian rights.
