Saudi Arabia should take a step towards peace/ the need to build trust towards Sana’a.

According to al-Mayadeen, “Hussein Al-Azi”, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Government of Yemen, emphasized that Saudi Arabia should take steps and move towards peace. This country should take practical measures to build trust in Sana’a.

He further added: “Saudi coalition should not listen to the words of the currents that hinder the path of peace and the international community at the head of them.”

Mehdi Al-Mashat, the head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, in a speech a few days ago, emphasized the need to put aside militant strategies by Yemen’s enemies and to enter into an atmosphere of peace and dialogue that would lead to just solutions.

Referring to these fair solutions, the head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council said: These fair solutions must respect all our rights and lead to freedom from all factors that spread hatred between the Yemeni people and the Muslim Ummah. Just as I call ourselves to have good intentions, do good deeds, and take favorable positions, I also call the internal enemies and all the neighboring countries to do the same.

Referring to the necessity of an immediate end to the blockade of Yemen, the head of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen announced: The blockade of Yemen must be ended immediately and we should quickly enter the atmosphere of trust-building in humanitarian and economic fields.

It should be noted that during the past weeks, a Saudi delegation headed by “Mohammed Al Jaber”, the Saudi ambassador to Yemen, had positive discussions with the delegation from Sana’a headed by “Mohammed Abdussalam” (the chief negotiator of the Yemeni government) in Riyadh. It has been done with the mediation of the Omani side.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia issued a statement in connection with the meetings to determine the road map for solving the crisis in Yemen, which was held between the officials of this country and a delegation from Sana’a, while expressing satisfaction with the results of these talks, and stated that during the consultations, several ideas and options were proposed and The two sides exchanged views on solutions to the Yemen crisis through solutions that are approved by all sides.

In this statement, it is hoped that these talks will end the war and crisis of the last eight years in Yemen and pave the way for establishing peace and reconciliation in this country.
