Saudi Arabia stopped all financial and bank transfers to Palestine.

Saudi Arabia stopped all financial and bank transfers to Palestine.

According to Jordan News, official sources announced that Saudi Arabia has recently suspended all financial transfers to Palestine, including personal and commercial banking transactions.

Details of the decision to suspend all financial transfers from Saudi Arabia to Palestine are unclear, the sources said. However, banking sources confirmed that transfers have now been completely halted, meaning people will be able to transfer money from Saudi Arabia to Palestine through banks, exchanges or express transfer services such as Western Union or They are not moneygrams.

Palestinians living in Saudi Arabia are particularly affected by this decision, as they are now unable to send money to their families living in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Estimates by the Palestinian Affairs Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) indicate that between 400,000 and 500,000 Palestinians live in Saudi Arabia, a significant part of them residing in Jeddah.

This decision poses a risk to the participation of Palestinian immigrants in the Palestinian economy, which is estimated at 18.6% in 2022 based on international data.
