The statement adds that efforts to restore the previous situation in Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra are ongoing.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry clarified: We hope the Transitional Council will take the initiative to end tensions and withdraw its forces from these two provinces.
Forces of the Emirati-backed Transitional Council have, in recent weeks, taken advantage of the surprise of Saudi-backed mercenaries in Yemen to launch attacks on these positions and have brought strategic parts of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra provinces under their control. Saudi forces have recently begun military movements to retake these areas.
