In a meeting with the American National Security Advisor, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister, while reiterating Riyadh’s support for the ceasefire in Gaza, emphasized the need to protect civilians, stop forced migration, receive humanitarian aid, and try to restore the path to peace.

On Tuesday, October 31, Saudi Defense Minister Khaled bin Salman met with White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and discussed bilateral relations as well as developments in the region and the world.

According to the report of the official news agency of the Saudi government “WAS”, the topic of developments in Gaza, the situation in the region, and international efforts in this field was the special topic of the meeting between Bensalman and Sullivan.

In this meeting, the Saudi Defense Minister emphasized the need for a ceasefire in Gaza, protecting civilians, stopping forced displacement, allowing humanitarian aid to enter, and trying to restore the path of peace. A peace that will bring the Palestinian people to their legitimate rights so that they can form their own independent country.

According to this report, they also discussed the latest developments in Yemen, the results of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to end this crisis, and ensure the achievement of a comprehensive and sustainable peace that guarantees security and stability for Yemen and its people.

On Saturday, October 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia expressed Riyadh’s strong concern regarding the escalation of military tension by the Zionists against the Palestinian people and emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and condemns any ground operations carried out by Israel; Because this operation has threatened the lives of Palestinian civilians.

The United Nations General Assembly on Friday night passed a resolution on Gaza and called for an immediate and lasting humanitarian ceasefire. 120 countries voted in favor of this resolution; 14 countries were against it and 45 countries refused to vote. “Eli Cohen”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Zionist regime, accused the countries that approved the resolution of establishing a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip of “spreading hatred” and categorically rejected any request in this regard.
