This media added: The Palestinian issue has been the priority of Saudi Arabia’s policies since the beginning of the formation of the Saudi government until today, and Saudi Arabia is at the head of the countries that support Palestine at all levels, and the Arab peace plan proposed by Riyadh was in this direction. This plan is considered one of the basic principles in the negotiations related to the Palestinian issue, and now the evidence shows that Saudi Arabia is calm and shows that this country is not in a hurry to establish relations with Israel.
Al-Riyad continued: Saudi Arabia is not in a hurry to establish relations with Tel Aviv until it gets what it wants in various cases in exchange for the normalization of relations with Israel. Considering the weight it has in the region and the international community, Saudi Arabia is in a position of power in negotiations related to normalization and can realize its demands. Riyadh also knows that negotiating important issues and cases takes a long time to reach a favorable outcome between the negotiating parties, and this process may take longer than expected.
This Saudi newspaper emphasized: Saudi Arabia prioritizes its interests and may achieve something more than what it wants in the negotiations. Negotiations to establish relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel must go through various stages, and all parties know what they want from this possible agreement.
Two weeks ago, in an interview with Fox News, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced that talks on normalizing relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv are continuing and reaching an agreement between the two sides is closer than ever. At the same time, he pointed to the Palestinian issue and the need to solve it and emphasized that solving this problem is necessary in any compromise agreement with Israel and we must reach a solution that improves the living conditions of the Palestinians.
