Secretary General of the United Nations Responds to Hague’s Order Against Israel.
In a message on Friday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres noted that the Hague Tribunal’s order for Israel to stop military operations in Rafah is “binding” and must be complied with by all parties.
Al Jazeera news channel reported on Friday night that Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, on Friday, hours after the International Court of Justice issued an order to stop Israel’s military operations in Rafah, reminded that the judgments of this court based in The Hague are binding.
In his statement, Guterres declared that “the rulings issued by the court are binding and he is confident that the parties will duly comply with the court ruling.”
In another part of his statement, the senior UN official said: According to the statute of the court, we will immediately refer the notice of this judgment to the UN Security Council.
It should be noted that the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands, issued a ruling with 13 votes in favor and 2 votes against the immediate halt of the Zionist regime’s military operations in Rafah and demanded the reopening of the Rafah crossing for humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip.
