PNN – The French President, who was in the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly, was caught in New York traffic due to the streets being closed to allow the US President’s motorcade to pass.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Anadolu Agency, local media reports indicate that French President Emmanuel Macron’s car was stuck in New York traffic on its way to the country’s embassy in the United States due to the streets being closed to allow US President Donald Trump’s motorcade to pass.

Macron, who was in New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, was on his way to the embassy in Paris when his car was stopped due to security measures for Trump’s motorcade.

The French newspaper La Depeche wrote that Macron approached a police officer to ask why the street was blocked, and then in a video he is seen calling Trump and jokingly telling him, “Guess what happened? I’m waiting on the street because all the roads are closed for you!”

According to the media outlet, Macron then decided to continue on foot and walked the streets of New York for about 30 minutes while talking with Trump.
