Senators letter to Biden to put pressure on Israel

PNN – In a letter from the President of their country, “Joe Biden”, a group of Democratic representatives of the US Senate asked to put pressure on the Zionist regime to provide humanitarian aid and reopen the border crossings.

According to Pakistan News Network from Reuters, a group of Democrats in the US Senate urged Biden in a letter on Monday to encourage Israel to take immediate steps to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

In their letter, the Democratic senators reminded that the lives of civilians should be protected against armed conflicts in accordance with international law.

The letter, written by Senators Tommy Baldwin, Tim Kaine and Chris Van Hollen and signed by at least eight other Democrats, urged Biden to act as soon as possible.

The sending of such a letter by the Democratic senators comes while the Biden administration announced that it is approaching an agreement to release a group of 240 prisoners in the hands of Hamas, who were captured during the October 7 attack of this resistance group.

Although the name of the ceasefire is not mentioned in this letter, it refers to the dire humanitarian situation, efforts to deliver food and water, fuel and other basic needs, including the reopening of the Kerem Shalom border crossing between the Zionist position and Gaza and the protection of civilians.
