Shahbaz Sharif calls for continued contact between Islamabad and Ankara.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif met with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Guler in Islamabad today.
The Foreign and Defense Ministers, the Army Chief, the National Security Advisor, and the Director General of the Pakistani military intelligence agency ISI were also present in the meeting.
Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Turkish government and people for their steadfast support to Pakistan during the recent war with India.
While stressing the commitment of both countries to continue strong and unwavering support for each other’s core interests, the Pakistani Prime Minister stressed the need for closer coordination between Islamabad and Ankara amid rapid regional and global developments, especially in the context of the continuation of Israeli crimes in Gaza and the regime’s aggression against Iran.
