Shahbaz Sharif’s contact with Pezishkiyan / Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen all-round relations with Iran

PNN – Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in a telephone conversation with Iran’s President-elect Masoud Pezishkiyan, emphasized Islamabad’s readiness to develop comprehensive relations with Tehran: The agreements between the two countries during the visit of Martyr Syed Ibrahim Raisi to Pakistan is a very good foundation for a mutually beneficial partnership.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from the public relations office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan in Islamabad, Shahbaz Sharif, in a phone call with the doctors of the President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed his sincerest congratulations on the occasion of his victory in the recent presidential elections.

In the official statement of the Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif conveyed his warm greetings to the supreme leader of the revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, and congratulated him and the nation of Iran on the holding of the presidential elections and the successful transfer of political power through the democratic process.

He added: Iran and Pakistan as neighboring and brotherly countries are connected to each other with common history, religion, culture and traditions.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan wished success to the Pezishkiyan during his presidency and said: Islamabad is eager to work closely with the new government in Tehran to further strengthen the relations between the two countries and promote comprehensive cooperation in various fields including trade, energy and regional security.

He emphasized: The joint decisions of the two countries during the historic visit of Seyyed Ibrahim has created a very good basis for the mutually beneficial partnership between Iran and Pakistan.

In the said statement, it is stated: While thanking the Prime Minister of Pakistan for his congratulation, the President-elect of Iran expressed his desire to further deepen the long-standing relations between the two brotherly nations.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Office announced: The heads of the two countries also discussed regional issues and agreed to continue close coordination and consultations.

This statement adds: The telephone conversation between the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President-elect of Iran shows the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between both countries and their common commitment to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
