Shas party members resign; Netanyahu’s cabinet collapses.
Al Jazeera, citing the Israeli Channel 12 television, announced that the religious authority of the Shas party announced its immediate withdrawal from Netanyahu’s cabinet and coalition in response to the “failure to approve the law exempting Haredim from compulsory military service.”
The Shas party was one of the main religious parties in the coalition of the cabinet of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and its withdrawal from the cabinet could reduce the number of cabinet seats from 61 to 50, severely weakening the coalition and causing Netanyahu’s cabinet to lose control of the Knesset.
The religious parties of the Israeli regime believe that if Netanyahu’s coalition is destroyed, there will be no war cabinet, and if there is no war cabinet, the war will also stop, and where the war stops, the compulsory military service of the Haredim will also be abolished.
