PNN – Thousands of Muslims gathered in London and chanted slogans to express their support for Iran and Palestine.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, thousands of fasting Muslims, civil activists, human rights and anti-war groups, as well as Jewish and Christian activists opposed to the Zionist regime, gathered in London to celebrate the International Quds Day and chant slogans expressing their support for Iran and Palestine.
Participants, who came from different parts of England, expressed their anger and condemnation of the military aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran, while renewing their commitment to the Palestinian cause.
At the rally, which was held in the Embankment area of central London under tight security, they chanted slogans of “Allahu Akbar” while holding Iranian and Palestinian flags, as well as pictures of Ayatollah Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Revolution, and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution. The participants also carried pictures of the martyrs of the imposed war against Iran, including the martyrs of the oppressed Shajare Taybeh Elementary School in Minab, and called for the prosecution of the perpetrators of these crimes. The protesters also held slogans that read, “Stay away from Iran,” “Resistance from Palestine to Iran,” “The world stands with Iran,” and “Stop the genocide.”
The protest movement featured an active and prominent presence of Orthodox Jewish rabbis from the anti-Israeli movement “Naturi Karta” alongside Muslim clerics. As in previous years, they attended the event to declare their innocence of the crimes of the Zionist regime, to join the protesters and call for the destruction of “Israel.”
Jewish rabbis burned the Israeli flag and stomped on it in protest. They also held anti-Israeli slogans and shouted that the Jewish religion is separate from Zionism and opposes the crimes in Palestine.
The International Quds Day ceremony is held annually by the British Islamic Human Rights Commission. This year’s ceremony was held with a large attendance of Palestinian supporters, despite intense pressure from the Zionist lobby and restrictions imposed by the British government.
It is worth noting that in recent days, the Zionist lobby had been trying to completely cancel the program by increasing pressure on British MPs and police, but with the organizers following up and agreeing to change the location and time, this year’s ceremony was held with greater pomp.
