Smotrich insists on building settlements in the West Bank and Eisenkot criticizes Netanyahu.
According to Al Jazeera, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced: We have allocated more than 23,000 hectares in the West Bank for settlement construction.
He added: We are destroying the establishment of a Palestinian state and taking practical steps.
On the other hand, Gadi Eisenkot, the former chief of staff of the Israeli army, said: All security agencies are unanimous that the time has come to sign a prisoner exchange agreement.
He added: I hope I am wrong, but Netanyahu is not looking for an agreement.
While Hebrew-speaking sources reported that negotiations to reach a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza are continuing, some Israeli ministers continue to oppose declaring a halt to the war in the Strip.
Israeli Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gwer reiterated that his red lines are clear and he will never allow the war in Gaza to stop.
Ben-Gwer also stated that he would present to US President-elect Donald Trump a plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza and build settlements for the Zionists in the strip.
The Israeli Minister of Culture also emphasized that he supports Netanyahu’s plan to reach a prisoner exchange agreement.
Mickey Zohar said that no one in the Israeli cabinet is in favor of ending the war and withdrawing from areas such as the Philadelphia axis.
On the other hand, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is also considered a serious opponent of stopping the war in Gaza.
