PNN – The South African government announced on Friday that the chargé d’affaires of the Israeli embassy in Pretoria has been designated as an “undesirable” and must leave the country.
According to the Emirates news agency Eram News, this action was taken following the continuation of diplomatic disputes resulting from South Africa’s complaint against the Israeli regime in the international “genocide” case at the International Court of Justice.
Reuters also reported that the decision reflects increased diplomatic tensions between the two countries following South Africa’s legal action against Israel.
In December 2023, South Africa filed a formal complaint against the Israeli regime with the International Court of Justice in The Hague, citing the “Convention on the Prevention of Mass Murder and the Crime of Genocide”, accusing the Israeli army forces of committing serious human rights violations and crimes against the Palestinian people.
The case, which is still under investigation, has caused significant tension in diplomatic relations between South Africa and the Zionist regime.
According to international diplomatic rules, if a diplomat is declared an “undesirable”, he or she must immediately leave the host country.
