PNN – The wave of protests in support of Palestine, which originated from American universities, after Valencia and other Spanish states, reached Universidad Complutense de Madrid, one of the most important universities in this country, and the students announced the establishment of an indefinite camp until the end of relations with the Zionist regime.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from the website of the television network (rtve.es), Madrid students have decided to continue their protest camp indefinitely in protest of the “genocide in Gaza” and until their demands are met.
The Interuniversity Block of Madrid (El Bloque Interuniversitario de Madrid), which gathers a group of pro-Palestinian associations from different universities in the Spanish capital, held a meeting and called for the severance of relations between universities and the Spanish government with the Zionist regime.
Students of the Autonomous University of Madrid (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), Complutense, Carlos III University, Rey Juan Carlos University and Polytechnic University were among the participants in this protest rally.
From the early hours of the day, the students gathered en masse in front of one of the central buildings of the Compoltense University, set up several tents and installed numerous posters and flags.
The organizers of this march, by reading a manifesto in support of Palestine, emphasized the need to support the rights of the Palestinian people and end any form of cooperation with the Israeli regime.
After reading the manifesto, the Spanish youth gathered around the tents chanting slogans and started singing hymns, assuring that they were ready to stay in this camp as long as necessary.
The representative of the Spanish section of one of the pro-Palestinian associations (Samidoun), who was present at the rally, told Sputnik: This action reflects the deep feelings of the public and the awakening of the conscience of the youth about the struggle for human rights and international justice.
Demonstrations of students in support of Palestine have recently spread in Spain, and students have demanded an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in protest against the actions and policies of the Zionist regime.
