Spokesperson of the Afghan government: The purpose of participating in the Doha meeting is to interact more with the world

PNN – The spokesperson of Afghanistan’s caretaker government emphasized that Kabul’s goal in participating in the Doha 3rd meeting is to interact more with the world and key issues inside Afghanistan are not going to be discussed in this meeting.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network in Kabul, Zabihullah Mujahid said in a press conference that in this meeting, no real and legal person other than the caretaker government will participate on behalf of Afghanistan, and there will be a discussion about removing some restrictions and suspicions about the situation in Afghanistan.

The Doha 3rd meeting is hosted by the United Nations and will be held in the capital of Qatar with the presence of the special representatives of the countries in Afghanistan affairs, including the presence of Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s special representative in Afghanistan affairs. The Afghan delegation will be led by Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the caretaker government.

Mujahid stated that the international community should not leave Afghanistan alone in difficult situations and countries should do their duty towards Afghanistan, including in the matter of rebuilding and strengthening the economic conditions, adding that Afghanistan is the common home of all the citizens of the country.

He stated that the purpose of the participation of the delegation of Afghan representatives in the third meeting of Doha is greater understanding and interaction with the international community and countries and said: “We want constructive interaction with the international community and we strive to improve the country’s conditions”.

According to his words, key issues will not be discussed at the Doha meeting and only the messages of the Islamic Emirate will be conveyed to the world community.

Mujahid did not consider the presence of representatives of the caretaker government in the Doha meeting as a privilege from the international community and added that no real or legal personality other than the representatives of the caretaker government will participate in this meeting on behalf of Afghanistan.

This Afghan official added: Our request at the third Doha meeting of the United Nations is to eliminate some restrictions and suspicions about the situation in Afghanistan.

According to him, economic issues, oppressive sanctions, the achievements of the caretaker government and recounting the realities inside Afghanistan are among the issues that the Afghan representatives will discuss in the third Doha meeting.

The spokesperson of Afghanistan’s acting government added: Doha meeting is not for permanent solution of Afghanistan’s problems and 6 people from different ministries of the government will participate in this meeting on behalf of Afghanistan.

He stated that Afghanistan’s internal issues, including women’s issues, girls’ education and inclusive governance, will not be discussed in the third Doha meeting, but issues related to the international community will be discussed.

Mujahid also informed about the visit of representatives of the caretaker government on the sidelines of the third Doha meeting with different parties and said: Some rights of the Afghan people, which are usurped or not given by the countries, will be discussed in the third Doha meeting.

Referring to the recent UN report on Afghanistan, he stated that this report was based on the wishes of some countries and the realities of Afghanistan were not taken into consideration.

Stating that Afghanistan is stable, this speaker added that Afghanistan is not in a crisis and political issues have been resolved to some extent.

According to Mujahid, the caretaker government has good economic and political relations with different countries and Afghanistan has diplomatic relations with more than 36 countries.

He also emphasized that there is no conflict between the officials of the caretaker government and denied the publication of some media reports that there is a conflict between the Afghan officials.
