Statement by Hezbollah in Lebanon Denying Some Media Fantasies.
According to Al-Manar, the Lebanese Hezbollah Media Relations Center stated in response to some media hype and the publication of false news attributed to the movement or its officials.
The Hezbollah statement said: “Recently, some media outlets have published news and information attributed to sources in Hezbollah or its officials, which are completely false.”
Hezbollah added: “The Hezbollah Media Relations Center reaffirms that there are no alleged sources in Hezbollah and that Hezbollah’s positions are published exclusively through official statements issued by the Media Relations Department or through statements by its officials on official and party websites.”
The statement emphasized: “The Hezbollah Media Relations Center calls on the media to exercise utmost accuracy and objectivity and to refrain from publishing or confirming any news that has not been officially published by the relevant authorities.”
At the end of the statement, Hezbollah’s Media Relations Center emphasized its readiness to provide all explanations and interpretations to increase professionalism and credibility and avoid falling into the trap of mistakes that could mislead public opinion.
Recently, some media outlets, quoting a senior Hezbollah official, claimed that Hezbollah was ready to discuss disarmament with the Lebanese president if the Israeli regime withdrew from southern Lebanon and stopped its aggression.
