Statements of the Israeli minister for the annexation of the West Bank and international condemnation

PNN – The Minister of Justice of Israel, in a brazen statement, called for the official annexation of the West Bank to the occupied territories, a move that brought a sharp reaction from the Arab countries.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing The Times of Israel, Israeli Minister of Justice Yario Levin, in a meeting with Yossi Dagan, head of the Settlers’ Council, demanded the official annexation of the West Bank to the occupied territories on Wednesday night.

Levin described this period as a “historic opportunity” for Israel, adding that this moment should not be missed.

The statements of this Zionist official led to widespread reactions and international condemnation. Organizations and countries such as the Arab League, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, as well as the Palestinian Authority separately condemned these words and considered them part of settlement policies, racist and violating international laws.

Arab League

Ahmed Abolghait, the secretary general of this union, issued a statement condemning Levin’s words, describing it as dangerous and irresponsible.

He warned that Israel, with the illusion of power and ignoring the laws and moral principles, is entering the region into an endless cycle of violence.

Saudi Arabia

By issuing a statement, Saudi Arabia announced its strong opposition to the development of settlements and asked the international community to force Tel Aviv to adhere to international resolutions.

Egypt

Egypt also rejected the recent statements of the Zionist authorities about the annexation of the West Bank and asked the international community to intervene to immediately stop these widespread violations.

Qatar

In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered these statements to be the continuation of the Zionist regime’s colonial approach and, citing Security Council Resolution 2334, called for an immediate response by the international community against Israel’s tension-causing policies, including the continuation of crimes in the West Bank, the Judaization of Jerusalem, and the prevention of humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip.

Kuwait

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait also condemned the statements of some officials of the Zionist regime regarding the expansion of the occupation of the West Bank and considered it a serious violation of international laws.

Jordan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan also condemned these statements by issuing a strong statement. The spokesperson of this ministry, “Sufyan Qadah” emphasized that Israel’s actions in the West Bank, including the development of settlements, are a clear violation of Resolution 2334 and international law.

Palestinian Authority

In response to Levin’s statement, the Palestinian Authority declared it a part of Israel’s total war against the Palestinian nation.

Nabil Abu Radineh, the spokesman of the organization, rejected these statements and emphasized the necessity of the complete end of the occupation of Palestinian lands, including the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
