Strategic Balance: Al Jazeera Narrates Several Strategic Achievements of Iran in the War with the Zionists.

In its new analysis of the 12-day war between Iran and the Zionist regime, which ended with the regime being defeated and a ceasefire imposed, Al Jazeera Network examined Iran’s strategic achievements in this war, the content of which is as follows:

On the morning of June 13, 2025, the Iranian people woke up to an unprecedented shock in their country; Israel had launched a direct military attack on Iranian soil and assassinated several of the country’s top military commanders and nuclear scientists.

This attack was not simply a direct military aggression, but also expanded to internal sabotage operations and attempts to incite the Iranian people against their regime. However, Iran, which had never been involved in a full-scale war since the end of its war with Iraq in 1988, did not surrender to the initial threat; instead, it quickly shifted its position from a defensive posture to a new stage of strategic deterrence and established new rules for confronting Israel, which in turn changed the balance of power in the region as a whole.

The early failure of the Zionist calculations and objectives in attacking Iran

The Israeli attack on Iran was not just a regular military attack, but a major sabotage operation using locally assembled drones inside the country and using domestic mercenaries, especially with the help of groups such as the MKO, for sabotage operations. In fact, Israel was trying to create complete chaos in Iran, hoping that the Iranian regime would be weakened from within.

But what the Zionist regime had not calculated was the remarkable speed with which Tehran restored its command and control structure; where, by quickly replacing commanders on the very first night, Iran began its response to the Israeli aggression by firing precision missiles at Tel Aviv and Haifa in an operation called “Honest Promise 3”, which showed that Iran very quickly got out of the initial shock and entered an initial tactical equilibrium, and then changed its strategy in a calculated manner.

This war was imposed on Iran on three levels, which was accompanied by Israeli miscalculations and helped Iran recover:

– Military level: Targeting commanders, scientists, and the command and control system inside Iran. Although Israel realized that this method was not effective and had eroded the initial achievement it had in attacking Iran, and Iran moved from a reactive stance to an active stance in its attacks against Israel, it still insisted on continuing this method.

– Sabotage level: The Zionist regime tried to disable the country’s defense system and disrupt its activities by using its spies and drones assembled inside Iran, but Iran was able to quickly identify a large number of spy networks and thwart the sabotage operations.

– Attempt to weaken and overthrow the Iranian regime: Israel hoped that in the very first wave of its attack on Iran, unrest would arise in the streets of the country, paving the way for confronting the Islamic Republic of Iran and weakening the social cohesion of Iranians. But the internal cohesion and rallying of Iranians around their flag was evident from the very beginning, and as the war continued, this cohesion and unity in confronting the enemy increased.
