Stricter US immigration ahead; Noem opposes all immigration.
NBC’s Kristi Noem announced Monday that she is proposing a “total travel ban” from countries that she claims are “filling the United States with murderers, leeches, and [government] benefit addicts.”
The US Homeland Security Secretary wrote on the social media platform “X” that she had recently met with US President Donald Trump, and Trump later retweeted her statement about the new travel restrictions.
“Our ancestors built this nation with blood, sweat, and an abiding love of freedom, not for foreign invaders to massacre our heroes, drain our hard-earned taxes, or take away the benefits that belong to Americans. We don’t want them. Not one.”
The US Department of Homeland Security did not respond to NBC’s request for comment on the countries Noem mentioned, according to the report.
Trump retweeted the post by the US Homeland Security Secretary on the social media platform Truth Social, but did not provide any explanation or comment.
