Shahbaz Sharif, in consultation with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party and former foreign minister, appointed him to head a special diplomatic delegation to travel to the capitals of several countries.

The Pakistani prime minister said that the country’s diplomatic team will convey Islamabad’s actions in the wake of the recent tensions with India to the other side during important trips to Washington, London, Paris and Brussels.

He described diplomatic confrontation with what was called India’s conspiracy and its projections against Pakistan as one of the main objectives of Islamabad’s diplomatic delegation in its upcoming foreign trips.

Shahbaz Sharif added that Pakistan’s actions and efforts for peace and stability in the region will be explained during these trips.

The Pakistani delegation includes former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former Pakistani Ambassador to the United States and former Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, Climate Change Minister Mosaddeq Malik, former Pakistani Ambassador to Washington Senator Sherry Rehman, former National Assembly member and Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani, former Defense Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan, and Faisal Sabzwari of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

According to IRNA, the clashes between India and Pakistan began following the terrorist incident on May 2 in the tourist area of ​​”Phalgam” in Indian-controlled Kashmir, in which at least 27 people were killed.

New Delhi identified Islamabad as the perpetrator of the attack and in response to the incident on May 7, launched an operation targeting 9 locations in Pakistan and Indian-controlled Kashmir. In response to these attacks, Pakistan targeted 26 locations in India and Indian-controlled Kashmir with missiles, drones, and artillery in an operation called “Banyan Marsus”.

Earlier, the Pakistani Air Force announced that it had shot down six Indian fighter jets, including three French Rafale jets, in response to the attacks on the morning of May 8.
