PNN – Supporters of Palestine in England on Monday held a Grand Slam tennis tournament sponsored by “Barclays“, they demonstrated against this bank and the Israeli regime’s genocide in Gaza.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, this demonstration was organized by “Solidarity Campaign with Palestine” and about 100 people were present.
Protesters placed a large tennis ball at the protest site with the words: Barclays Bank sponsors Wimbledon and Genocide.
Protesters also chanted: Stop bombing schools and hospitals.

Lewis Bacon, a spokesman for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, said Barclays finances companies that arm Israel for its genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
With the passage of about 9 months since the start of the Zionist regime’s incursion into the Gaza Strip without any results and achievements, this regime is sinking more and more into its internal and external crises day by day.
During this period, the Zionist regime has not achieved anything other than massacres, destruction, war crimes, violations of international laws, bombing aid organizations and imposing famine and starvation in this region.
The occupying regime has lost this war without considering any future gains and even after about 9 months, it has not been able to make the resistance groups surrender in a small area that has been under siege for years, and the support of the world public opinion for committing obvious crimes in Gaza has lost.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Monday in its latest statistics that the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, at the same time as the Al-Aqsa storm operation began, reached 37,900 and the number of injured reached 87,600.
Also, a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, and rescue and urban defense forces are unable to reach them.
