PNN – Hundreds of Palestinian supporters protested in the Swedish capital Stockholm on Saturday against the Israeli regime’s violation of the Gaza ceasefire and restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid.
According to Anatoli Agency, the protesters, who gathered at the invitation of a number of civil society organizations, held placards that read: End the occupation of Palestine immediately, “End the genocide and siege,” “Inject humanitarian aid,” and “Israel must abide by the peace agreement.”
The protesters also called on the Swedish government to place Israel under a comprehensive military embargo.
According to official statistics, more than 71,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, and more than 171,000 others have been injured.
The director of the Al-Shifa Medical Association in the Gaza Strip also warned of the unprecedented and organized collapse of the healthcare system, stating that due to the destruction of vital infrastructure and the continued siege by the occupying forces, more than 20,000 sick and wounded are on the verge of death, and so far, more than 3,300 of them have died on the waiting lists to be sent abroad.
The Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, with the support of the United States, in addition to the genocide of the Palestinians, left behind widespread destruction that led to the destruction of 90% of the Gaza Strip’s infrastructure, and the United Nations has estimated the cost of rebuilding this damage at around $70 billion.
