Last week, a ship carrying 12 peace-loving volunteers and human rights activists from various European and international nationalities set sail for Gaza with the aim of breaking the comprehensive blockade of the region. Among these people were prominent figures such as Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, Irish actor Liam Cunningham, Palestinian human rights activist and member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan, and several representatives and civil society activists from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, and Turkey.
