PNN – The representative of Syria in the meeting of the Security Council about the developments in this country, announcing that some countries have turned terrorism into a tool to implement their hostile policies, said that the terrorist attack on northern Syria would not have been carried out without the green light and order from Türkiye and Israel.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, “Qasi al-Dahhak”, the permanent representative of Syria to the United Nations, in a meeting held by the Security Council to review the developments in this country in the shadow of the terrorist attack, pointed out the role of the Zionist regime in this sedition and said: The dimensions and scope of the terrorist attack on northern Syria show the support of these attacks by regional and international parties who use terrorism as a tool to implement their foreign policy and target the Syrian government.
The representative of Syria added: The terrorist attack on northern Syria would not have been carried out without the green light and order for the Turkish-Israeli joint operation, which provides the ground for repeated attacks by the Israeli occupying regime on Syria.
He pointed out that the terrorist attack on Aleppo coincided with the attack of terrorists from the northern borders and the intensification of foreign support for them, including in the level of military equipment, heavy weapons, cars, drones, modern communication technologies and security of military and logistics supply lines.
This Syrian diplomat emphasized that this attack is a clear violation of UN resolutions and tension reduction agreements approved in the Astana process. This process emphasizes the commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria and continuing efforts to fight terrorism, but Türkiye has not fulfilled these commitments.

The representative of Syria in the United Nations stated: This terrorist attack has pushed thousands of families in Aleppo to the areas under the control of the Syrian government, and the people who were trapped inside the city faced harsh humanitarian conditions and terrorist attacks. Syria considers the countries that support the terrorist group Tahrir al-Sham “former al-Nusra Front” and its related groups to be fully responsible for this attack and its consequences.
He said: Syria will continue to exercise its sovereignty and duty according to the law to fight terrorism, with all its strength and determination, and will take all necessary measures to defend the people of the country; deal with the threat caused by terrorism, and liberate all its lands from terrorists.
In the wake of the terrorists’ attack on northern Syria and the American-Zionist axis’ efforts to revive terrorism in Syria, the Security Council held an emergency meeting this Wednesday morning to review the latest developments in Syria.
The participants in this meeting of the Security Council expressed concern about the situation of civilians in Syria and warned against the recurrence of the terrorism crisis in this country.
Amir Saeed Irvani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, also gave a speech at the Security Council meeting.
The representative of our country said: The Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its deep concern about the escalation of the situation in Syria. Recent developments, especially the coordinated terrorist operations of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, a branch of al-Qaeda, also known as Jabhat al-Nusra, have created serious threats to Syria’s sovereignty and stability.
He emphasized: The only sustainable solution to the Syrian crisis is a political solution that is guided and owned by the Syrian people and preserves the sovereignty and independence of Syria. The international community must prioritize humanitarian assistance, infrastructure reconstruction, and the safe return of refugees. The Syrian people deserve peace, dignity and a chance to rebuild their country free from terrorism and foreign interference.
