Syrian Army: We inflicted heavy losses on Al-Nusra terrorists.
According to Al-Mayadeen, in the continuation of the new round of activation of terrorist groups supported by Turkey and the West in Syria, the Syrian army issued a statement today, Thursday, announcing that army forces in the outskirts of Aleppo and Idlib provinces are still confronting attacks by the terrorist groups of “Al-Nusra”.
The Syrian army statement stated that “our forces inflicted heavy losses of equipment and lives on the attacking terrorist groups.”
Syrian media announced yesterday, Wednesday, that the terrorists of the Al-Nusra Front launched a fierce attack on the positions of the Syrian army in the outskirts of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib, Syria, and before that, they also fired rockets and artillery and also set fire to the towns and villages of the front lines.
The terrorists launched a missile attack on Nubl and Al-Zahraa, as well as the town of Qitan al-Jil in the western outskirts of Aleppo, and in parallel, launched a fierce attack on the front lines in the southern outskirts of Idlib and western Hama.
Sputnik reported that the Sinhar, Qeitan al-Jabal, Sheikh Aqil and Sheikh Suleiman fronts in the western countryside are witnessing heavy fighting that continues, and there has been no change in the map of the areas under control.
The terrorists have also sought to break the front line in the 46th Regiment area.
Immediately after this attack, the Syrian army artillery heavily fired on the axes from which the terrorists launched their attack, and Syrian and Russian warplanes launched heavy attacks on the terrorists’ supply lines, artillery deployment centers, ammunition depots, and military centers.
A field source told Sputnik: Asaib al-Hammar terrorists launched an attack on several axes in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib, and dozens of terrorists were killed during the Syrian army’s attack. The artillery and weapons depots of the Nusra Front on the hills overlooking the town of Daraa Ezza in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo came under fire.
The Syrian army also subjected the centers controlled by the Turkestani Party and Hurras al-Din terrorists in Jabal al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib to heavy fire; heavy clashes are ongoing in the axes of al-Sarmaniyya, al-Furqur, al-Mashiq and Dweyr al-Kurd in the western countryside of Hama and southern Idlib.
Heavy clashes continued, and the Syrian Air Force carried out heavy attacks on the centers of gathering of terrorists on the front lines.
Sputnik reported that the terrorists of Asaib al-Hamr are an arm of the Nusra Front and wear red headbands. Asaib was created by Abu al-Iqazan al-Masri. This group is known for its bloodshed and brutal killings of civilians who enter it, as well as Syrian prisoners of war.
The Hurras al-Din terrorists are also terrorists who have previously fought in Afghanistan, Bosnia, and the Caucasus. News sources announced that Russian warplanes are also bombing the terrorists’ positions in Syria.
