Syrian Foreign Minister: We are against any plan to divide Syria

PNN – The Syrian Foreign Minister announced today at the Arab League meeting held in Baghdad that any plan to divide Syria is categorically rejected.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Asad Al-Shibani, the foreign minister of the interim government of Syria, said at the 34th meeting of the Arab League held in Baghdad this Saturday that the lifting of sanctions against Syria is an important step towards the recovery and reconstruction of this country.

Al-Shibani added: Any plan that leads to the weakening of the Syrian government or the division of a part of its territory is categorically rejected.

The foreign minister of the interim government of Syria stated that the government’s position regarding the violation of the country’s sovereignty in southern Syria, especially by the Zionist regime, which is a threat to the stability of the region, is firm.

The 34th meeting of the Arab League started today Saturday in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, this meeting will be held while Iraq had prepared for such a meeting months ago.

This meeting is the first hosted by Baghdad after 2012, the last Arab Summit was held in Baghdad in 2012. The Iraqi government has already sent invitations to the heads of Arab countries to participate in the Arab League meeting.
