Syrian government: Israel seeks to destabilize the situation and exacerbate security crises

PNN – The office of Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the head of the interim Syrian government, condemned the Israeli army’s airstrike near the presidential palace in Damascus early Friday morning, and announced that these attacks are a continuation of Tel Aviv’s efforts to destabilize the situation and escalate security crises.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, the office of the presidency of the Syrian interim government issued a statement saying: We strongly condemn the Israeli airstrike on the presidential palace, which represents a dangerous escalation against government institutions and the country’s sovereignty.

The statement added: This attack represents the continuation of daring actions to create instability in Syria, exacerbate security crises, and harm national security and the unity of the Syrian nation.

The office called on the international community and countries around the world to support this country in confronting this hostile aggression and violation of international laws and conventions.

The Syrian interim government office also called on Arab countries to adopt a unified position in support of the country and to declare their full support for Damascus in confronting these attacks, in order to guarantee the rights of Arab nations in confronting Israel’s hostile actions.

The statement was issued after the Israeli regime targeted a building 400 meters from the Syrian presidential palace in Damascus on Friday morning.

Friday, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, referring to the regime’s airstrike around the presidential palace in Damascus as a “warning message,” threatened that any attack on the Druze in Syria would be met with a decisive response from Tel Aviv.

Katz added: When (Abu Muhammad) Golani (the head of the Syrian interim government) wakes up and sees the results of the Israeli air force operation, he will understand very well that Israel is absolutely serious in its decision to prevent any harm to the Druze in Syria.

In a clear stance, he spoke of the Zionist regime’s will to continue taking preemptive measures against what he called the “threat against the Druze minority,” and emphasized that these attacks are part of Tel Aviv’s deterrence strategy against developments on the ground in Syria.

In an attempt to justify the attacks on Syria, the Israeli Minister of War claimed: Our determination to prevent harm to the Druze in Syria is unwavering.
