PNN – Reuters news agency quoted a senior Taiwanese security official as claiming that China is increasing its capacity to convert military exercises into an attack on Taiwan.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this Taiwanese official, whose name was not disclosed in the Reuters report, noted that China’s exercise was a threatening message to Taiwan more than ever.
According to Chinese media reports, on Monday, the Chinese military held an exercise near 24 miles from Taiwan with 153 fighter planes and 25 ships carrying naval and coast guard forces.

According to this Taiwanese security official, China fired 2 missiles towards an internal area in this exercise. Although China’s Ministry of Defense has not commented on this issue, it has previously announced that it is ready to take further action against Taiwan if necessary.
China’s Taiwan Affairs Office has also stated that Beijing will never refrain from using force against Taiwan.
Also, in the report submitted by Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense to the Parliament, it has been announced that China holds an average of three to four “joint exercises” around this island per month.
