Taliban official: We are never willing to negotiate with the issue of democracy

Pak Sahafat – The Deputy Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Afghan Taliban has recently said that some Afghan political figures want to talk with the Taliban, but there is no topic for negotiation.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Monday, quoted by Tolo News Agency, Mohammad Nabi Omari, the deputy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Taliban, has emphasized that now the Taliban has become the ruler in Afghanistan and this government will never discuss issues such as democracy.

Mohammad Nabi Omari added: What will be the agenda of this meeting, democracy? That gross and evil democracy that did not result in the last twenty years? If this is the agenda of the negotiations, the Mojahedin and the Taliban have sacrificed for years to not accept democracy and are ready for another hundred years.

Some ethnic elders in Paktia have also said that the time of differences in the country is over and it is necessary for the political figures who are living outside of Afghanistan to return to this country.

The elders of this tribe also asked the Taliban government to respect the rights of its citizens.

Mohammadanur Siddiqui, the elder of the tribe, said: they can come freely and live in Afghanistan with trust and faith and carry out all their life affairs under the umbrella of the Taliban government.

Mamor, another elder of the tribe, says: We ask all Afghans who are our brothers to return and we welcome them. The Taliban government should pay attention to them and take care of them.

Some Afghan political figures have repeatedly called for a dialogue between Afghans, but the Taliban has always said that these talks should have been held before this government came to power.
