PNN – Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the caretaker government of Afghanistan (Taliban), wrote in a message on X social network (formerly Twitter) that Saudi Arabia is looking to reopen its embassy in Kabul.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Mujahid wrote on X social network that he met with the representative of Saudi Arabia on the eve of the Doha meeting.
He added: Saudi Arabia wants to reopen its embassy in Kabul as soon as possible and wanted a good interaction with Afghanistan, and Kabul looks at Riyadh as an important country.
Saudi Arabia closed its embassy in Kabul in February 2023 due to fear of attacks on its diplomats.
Earlier, Mujahid said that the departure of the Saudi diplomats was temporary and not for security reasons, rather they left Afghanistan for a training course and are returning to the country.
