Taliban: We want respectful and balanced relations with the new American government

PNN – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the caretaker government of Afghanistan announced that the Taliban wants respectful and balanced relations with the new American government.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Tolo News Agency, Amir Khan Motaghi stressed that interaction based on mutual respect and common interests can help regional stability and improve bilateral relations.

The Afghan Foreign Minister continued: Kabul seeks to reduce tensions and create space for diplomatic cooperation.

Motaghi added: The Taliban wants economic and political cooperation with the countries of the world, including the United States. But these cooperations should be based on the principle of non-interference (in internal affairs) and respect for Afghanistan’s national sovereignty.

These statements are made while Sohail Shahin, the head of the Afghan Embassy in Doha, warned the US Secretary of State to learn from the jihads of the Afghan people instead of resorting to pressure and aggression.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently wrote on the X channel that “the Taliban have taken a larger number of Americans hostage than what was reported to us. If this is true, we should immediately set a large reward for the arrest of their top leaders, even larger than the one that was set for Osama bin Laden.
