Taliban: Women do not have the right to work in non-governmental organizations.
According to Russia Today, the Taliban has banned women from working in non-governmental organizations.
The Taliban government has announced that it will close all domestic and foreign non-governmental organizations in Afghanistan that continue to employ women. This is the latest move by the Taliban against women’s rights since they came to power in 2021.
Two years ago, the Taliban issued an order to stop all women’s activities in institutions that are not under Taliban control.
The Taliban Ministry of Economy warned that non-governmental organizations that do not comply with this order will lose their license to operate in Afghanistan.
The ministry’s statement said: “In the event of non-cooperation, all activities of that institution will be canceled and the license to operate that institution, which was granted by the ministry, will also be canceled.”
