PNN – The expert on regional issues said: Despite internal and external pressures, the Zionist regime is trying to force the Palestinian resistance to accept its demands, including the release of prisoners, disarmament, and the forced displacement of Palestinians, by intensifying attacks on Gaza.
In an interview with a reporter, Hassan Lasjerdi, referring to the set of conditions that the Zionist regime is facing following the ceasefire violation and the continuation of crimes and widespread attacks in Gaza, emphasized that the regime’s recent attacks on Gaza were carried out with the aim of putting pressure on the Palestinian resistance and forcing it to accept the conditions desired by Tel Aviv.
He added: After the ceasefire, Israel tried to take advantage of this opportunity to gain concessions, especially on the issue of prisoners, but it was not successful in this regard. Now, the Zionist regime, by applying military and security pressure, intends to force the resistance to make concessions on the release of prisoners. In contrast, the resistance groups, due to their possession of prisoners, have preserved this issue as one of their most important trump cards in negotiations and disputes.

Lasjerdi continued: In addition to the issue of prisoners, Israel is trying to impose the disarmament of the resistance and the forced displacement of the Palestinians in the negotiations. Washington’s support and companionship, especially considering the possibility of the Republicans’ return and US President Donald Trump’s openness in supporting Tel Aviv’s policies, has provided an opportunity for the Zionist regime to pursue its goals in the Gaza Strip.
The regional expert also referred to Israel’s internal crises and added: Inside the occupied territories, political pressure against Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet has increased. Opposition groups and political parties have made threats, including leaving the cabinet, which could cause the cabinet to lose its quorum.
He also referred to military pressures, adding: The attrition war in Gaza and the continuous threats against the Israeli military forces have put Tel Aviv under severe pressure. Even changes in the top military ranks, including the replacement of the regime’s army chief of staff, have failed to change this situation.
