Tel Aviv’s concern over the US-Yemen ceasefire; Trump’s disappointment with Netanyahu.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, Israeli media outlets warned of increased security threats to the critical infrastructure of the Zionist regime after US President Donald Trump unexpectedly announced a halt to attacks on Yemen’s Ansarullah movement.
The Israeli Channel 14 television reported that senior Israeli military and security commanders held extensive consultative meetings after the announcement. One of the most important scenarios discussed was the possibility of Yemeni attacks on key infrastructure such as the electricity grid.
These sources warned that the Yemenis may continue their attacks on military and civilian positions. They claimed that Tel Aviv’s response in the event of such attacks would be immediate.
Meanwhile, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar told the Yedioth Aharonot newspaper: “We were not informed before Trump announced the ceasefire.”
The Hebrew-language newspaper Israel Hayom reported, citing sources close to the US president, that Donald Trump is extremely disappointed with the performance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to these sources, Trump has decided to act without coordination and with reliance on Netanyahu in his future steps in the Middle East region.
