Tel Aviv’s plan to expand occupied territories in Gaza

PNN – Displaced Palestinians have reported a new map issued by the Israeli army aimed at expanding the areas under its occupation in the Gaza Strip.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Shehab, the displaced Palestinians who had taken shelter in the Al-Malik School affiliated with the United Nations stated that they suddenly found themselves inside areas occupied by Israeli forces, known as the “yellow line.”

According to the report, the displaced Palestinians emphasized that Israeli forces had moved the concrete blocks marking the boundaries of the yellow line in the Gaza Strip and expanded the areas under their control in Bani Suheila, located east of Khan Yunis.

Yesterday, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General also stated that the international body “firmly” opposes any changes to the borders of Gaza (and the occupied territories).

Stéphane Dujarric made these remarks during the daily press briefing in response to a question regarding comments by Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army.

Zamir had previously stated that the “yellow line” defines the new border of the Gaza Strip.

Dujarric stressed that such statements contradict both the spirit and the text of the peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

He explained that when the United Nations speaks of Gaza, it recognizes only the existing borders between Gaza and the occupied territories, not the “yellow line.”

According to reports, the “yellow line” is the same line to which the Israeli army withdrew as part of implementing the first phase of Trump’s plan to end the war on Gaza.
