PNN – Zionist sources reported escalating tensions between members of Netanyahu’s cabinet and the Israeli army chief of staff.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Rossiya El Youm, the Minister of Internal Security of the Israeli regime, Itamar Ben-Giver, publicly warned Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the regime’s army, saying that he must declare his complete allegiance to the political decisions of the Netanyahu cabinet.

He added that Zamir must implement any decision the cabinet makes, even the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip. This is despite the fact that the Hebrew-language website Ynet has pointed to the escalation of tension between the military and political circles of the Israeli regime.

Sources close to Netanyahu announced that he offered Zamir the option of resigning, saying that if he opposed the plan to completely occupies Gaza, and he could resign.

Shortly before this message, the Israeli army announced that it was lifting the state of emergency that had been in effect since Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.
