Terms of the Hamas-Israeli ceasefire agreement.
The Palestinian news agency “Ma’a” wrote about the agreement: The agreement, which was brokered by Qatar, the United States, and Egypt and will be implemented from Sunday, January 19 (January 30), is mainly related to the mechanism of the first stage, which will last 42 days and during which 33 Zionist prisoners (both alive and dead) will be handed over.
“The general principles of the agreement between the Israeli and Palestinian sides in Gaza on the exchange of prisoners and the establishment of a lasting ceasefire” are as follows:
All Israeli prisoners, both alive and dead, who are captured by the resistance, will be released, and in return, the Israeli regime agreed to release the number of Palestinian prisoners that will be agreed upon.
The exchange will begin on the day of the ceasefire, the day specified in the agreement as “day one.”
The Israeli regime and Hamas also agreed on a ceasefire that would lead to four goals: “a permanent ceasefire”, “the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip”, “the reconstruction of Gaza”, “the opening of crossings and the facilitation of the movement of people and goods”.
The provisions of the agreement are as follows, in three stages:
The first stage (42 days):
A temporary cessation of military operations by both sides and the withdrawal of the Israeli army eastward from “populated areas along the border in all areas of the Gaza Strip, including the Gaza Strip (the Netzarim axis).
A temporary cessation of air traffic (military and surveillance) in the Gaza Strip for 10 hours a day and 12 hours on days when the prisoner exchange takes place.
The return of the displaced to their places of residence and the departure from the Gaza Strip.
And on the seventh day (after the release of seven Zionist prisoners), the Israeli occupation forces will completely withdraw from the Rashid coastal road eastward to the Salah al-Din road.
Israel pledged to completely dismantle its military bases and installations in the area, and the return of displaced persons to their places of residence (without carrying weapons) will begin. Freedom of movement of people in all areas of the Gaza Strip will be unrestricted and the entry of humanitarian aid will be unrestricted from day one.
On day 22, Israeli forces will withdraw from the center of the Gaza Strip (in particular, the Netzarim axis east of the Salah al-Din Road to the area along the border), and military bases and installations will be completely dismantled.
From day one, humanitarian aid will be allowed (600 trucks per day, including 50 fuel trucks, 300 of which are for the northern Gaza Strip). This includes fuel needed to operate the power plant and commercial and construction equipment needed for debris removal and reconstruction and the operation of the hospital.
